The journey into motherhood can be an amazing yet daunting emotional roller coaster, all at once.  Many women experience mild baby blues, some women experience severe postpartum depression and/or anxiety, and most women lie somewhere in between.  Perinatal mood and anxiety challenges often present as irritability, overwhelm, sadness, rage, and almost always, 'mom guilt'.  As women, we often feel like no matter what we are doing, we 'should' be doing more; no matter how hard we try, we can't seem to meet the sky-high expectations of others and of ourselves.  Yet, when we take a step back and reflect on the world around us, I often encourage mothers to wonder "how could women not feel this way?".  Mothers today are often over-worked and undervalued by society.  We are flooded by false images of perfection, we are often isolated from a village of support, and we feel surrounded by judgement.  I aim to help women dispel the myths of motherhood and learn how to trust their maternal instincts. 

I'm a Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with a broad range of clients.  I aim to connect with individuals in a genuine way that feels safe and supportive.   

In terms of Perinatal Therapy, I'm a Mama of 4 myself and can appreciate the intensity of emotional waves women experience during the many seasons of motherhood.  I have worked in Women's Health in both a hospital setting and in private practice.
